SOOPER PUPPY

SOOPER PUPPY's eleven films are among over 30 films I've written for Simon&Schuster and Paramount. As a puppeteer I perform four of the main characters in the series, designed to promote self-esteem and values education to young children.

Other films in the collection include the WIZARD OF NO series, the WHAT TADOO series and WHAT IS AIDS? These films have won numerous awards, including six CINE Gold Eagles , a Blue Ribbon at the American Film Festival and Associated Press' Best Video of the Year.

THE WIZARD OF NO

The first film of the WIZARD OF NO trilogy was adopted by the HERE'S TO YOU 2000 Program as an integral part of their national anti-drug curriculum. The films deal with empowerment and how to say no to tobacco, alcohol and abuse.

WHAT TADOO

With three films in the series this is one of the most successful child abuse prevention series. It was adopted by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department for use within LA schools, as well as by the Department of Defense for children in the Armed Services.

SCARED, SAD AND MAD

Fergus the bunnie enjoys a quiet moment with his unpredictable alcoholic father. He'll soon meet some new friends who will teach him how to take care of himself in that kind of situation.

WHAT IS AIDS?

Designed for a preteen audience WHAT IS AIDS? teaches basic concepts without being sexually explicit. When an opportunistic trespassing AIDS virus enters the property, defenses are compromised and a wide variety of germs run amok. This film was so successful I was subsequently asked to write AIDS: A DIFFERENT KIND OF GERM for young children as well.

TELL EM HOW YOU FEEL

A troll, named the Grindlesnitch, counsels a young dragon on how to constructively deal with her anger. When lawyers voiced concern about the Seussian sound of the name I checked it out directly with Dr. Seuss. He wrote me back and assured me there was no conflict and expressed "best wishes for happy Grindlesnitchery!" That is a note I shall treasure forever .

CYBER-SEDUCTION

Danger on the Web

My wife Robin Goodrow and I coproduced this documentary with the J. Gary Mitchell Film Co. in order to warn kids and their parents (in a companion video) about the dangers of online relationships with people you don't really know.

Visit the J. Gary Mitchell Film Co. web site for a complete listing.

ASK ANY DUMMY

Famous crash dummies Vince and Larry share an intimate junkyard moment with the writer of this film designed to encourage teens to buckle up.

RIDING STRAIGHT

RIDING STRAIGHT is one of a number of films I've written for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Aimed at a young male audience, it discourages the idea of riding while impaired and is part of the nationwide training program.
