DARK STAR

Lt. Doolittle glares at Sgt. Pinback

That's Dan O'Bannon I'm staring at (writer of ALIEN). He and John Carpenter cooked up DARK STAR while we were all at USC Film School. I assumed it was going to take a few weeks to shoot . We wrapped up three years later. So much for assumptions.

This is the extent of my actual surfing experience.

KUKSU

One of my greatest acting challenges has been driving a 1925 Lincoln Town Car down a narrow street between a camera crew and parked antique cars and appearing relaxed when I was dead sure I was either going to cream a Model A or take out an assistant cameraman. Everyone lived, I am happy to report.

In KUKSU I played a psychiatrist in 1927 whose nieces wander off on a mystical quest. Lounging around mansions for days at a time dressed in period attire was very relaxing. Returning in street clothes to the world of the 1990s was stressful.

HENRY V

 The Archbishop and King Henry

When Peter Babakitis (Producer and Director of HENRY V as well as KUKSU, and here seen in the title role) asked me to be in this film I was given a choice of roles. I chose the one with less risk of falling off horses. This role gave me chilling insight into how right wing religious types promote war. Peace, y'all.
