When Baxter put on his red cape he transformed into Sooper Puppy, in his own mind at least. There are eleven films in the series in which I perform Sooper Puppy as well as Grandpaw, the elderly sage, Grizzle, the local hoodlum dog and leader of the Garbage Can Gang and Big Jon, the gopher.

I have appeared in three WIZARD OF NO films, requiring me to balance on tree limbs, do headstands in the middle of bushes and run around in the cold woods wearing leotards. It has all been well worth it, if for no other reason than to be a thorn in the side of the tobacco industry and make it just a little more difficult for them to recruit the next generation and kill them.

As a result of the Wizard's notoriety (as well as my work as a screenwriter with the California State Office of Child Abuse Prevention) I was asked to lead a march of 800 children and make a speech on the steps of the State Capitol .

I have performed up to seven characters per film in this three film series designed to teach young children how to protect themselves from potential abuse as well as extricating themselves from bad situations. In addition to the title frog, What, I also perform Professor Hilary Von Carp, Bartholomew the teddy bear and Timid Turtle, lead singer of Timid Turtle and the Clamettes. I was informed of a court case in which a four year old girl blew the whistle on her abuser. When asked by the District Attorney how she knew what to do she said, "The frogs told me." |

This film was shot in the woods, using a real little bridge over a dry creek bed. I resented being stuck in that creek all day, from dawn to dark, until I learned that everyone else on the crew got creamed by the surrounding poison oak. Troll's luck.

Fergus the bunny is having another hard day dealing with his alcoholic father. This film and the ones above come from the J. Gary Mitchell Film Co. library which contains around 30 films that I have created and written. I have performed in 22 of the films, primarily via puppets...sometimes playing up to seven different characters.
